Nationals of the following countries can apply on-arrival (at an authorized port-of-entry) a Transit (7 days maximum stay) and/or Tourist visa for a  maximum visit of 30 days:</p>
<p>Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, <strong>Cyprus</strong>, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, French, Greek, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, <strong>Italy</strong>, Japan, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, <strong>Malta</strong>, Morocco, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippine, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, England, America and Venezuela.<span id="more-246"></span></p>
<p>Free entry visa is also provided to delegates registered in a conference that is officially held. In addition, tourist visa can be obtained from every Indonesian Embassy or Consulate. Come in and out of Indonesia must pass number of specific gates, namely by <strong>AIR</strong> via Jakarta, Bali, Medan, Manado, Biak, Ambon, Surabaya and Batam; by <strong>SEA</strong> via Semarang, Jakarta, Bali, Pontianak, Balikpapan, Tanjung Pinang and Kupang. The length of stay in Indonesia is permitted for maximum two months.</p>
<p>Customs Office regulation in Indonesia allows to bring in 2 liter alcoholic drinks, 200 cigarettes  or 50 cigars or 100 gram tobaccos and sufficient amount of perfume for adults. Number of items that needs special permit to be brought in Indonesia is car, photography instrument, and other electronic devices. All films and videos must be censored by Indonesian Film Sensor Agency. Then fresh fruits, plants, and animals should also have quarantine permit. In general, narcotics and weapons are illegal items to be brought in Indonesia.</p>

		<title>Animal Quarantine Requirement</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-27" src="http://embassyofindonesia.it/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/animals1-150x150.jpg" alt="animals" width="150" height="150" />To prevent introduction or release of pests and animal diseases to/from the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, or areas within the country, every animals, or animal products consigned to/from the territory of Indonesia, or areas within the country should meet the following requirements: <span id="more-26"></span></p>
<p><strong>I. Importation</strong></p>
<p>Equipped with a health certificate issued by an authorized government veterinary surgeon/animal quarantine office of country of origin.</p>
<p>Entry through designated airports/ports of entry.</p>
<p>Notify the animal quarantine officer at the airport/port of entry for quarantine measures.</p>
<p><strong>II. Exportation</strong></p>
<p>Equipped with a health certificate issued by the animal quarantine office at the airport/port of embarkation.</p>
<p>Through designated airports/ports of embarkation.</p>
<p>Notify the animal quarantine officer at the airport/port of embarkation for quarantine measures.</p>
<p><strong>III. Domestic Transport (Entry and Exit)</strong></p>
<p>Equipped with a health certificate issued by an authorized government veterinary quarantine office at the airport/port of entry/embarkation.</p>
<p>Through designated airports/ports of entry/embarkation.</p>
<p>Notify the animal quarantine officer at the airport/port of entry/embarkation for quarantine measures.</p>
<p><strong>IV. Penalty</strong></p>
<p>According to article 31, Act No. 16, 1992:</p>
<p>Anyone who violates the provision regarding the animal quarantine requirements provided in the article 5, 6, 7 and provision in the article 21 and 25 shall be punished with maximum imprisonment of 3(three) years and maximum fine of Rp. 150.000.000,- (one hundred and fifty million rupiahs).</p>
<p>Any person due to negligence violates the provision regarding the animal quarantine requirements provided in the article 5, 6, 7 and provision in the article 21 and 25 shall be punished with maximum of 1 (one) year and a maximum fine of Rp. 50.000.000,- (fifty million rupiahs).</p>
<p>The punishable act provided in paragraph 1 shall be considered as a crime and punishable act provided in paragraph 2 shall be considered as an offense.</p>
<p><strong>Prohibition</strong></p>
<p>No entry of dogs, cats, monkeys and other animals into the following rabies-free areas of Indonesia:</p>
<p>All islands surrounding the main islands of Sumatra including, Batam, Belitung, Bangka, Bintan, Sabang, Nias  and other small islands, West Kalimantan, Maluku, Papua (Irian Jaya), East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, Bali, Madura, East Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta.</p>
<p>Any attempt to violate this prohibition will result in immediate detention and destruction of the animal concerned (State Gazette 1912, No. 452 and Ministry of Agriculture Decree No. 892/Kpts/The Nation.56/1997).</p>
<p><strong>Exception</strong></p>
<p>Dogs, cats, monkeys and other animals originated from the following rabies-free countries: Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii, Taiwan, Japan, Ireland, Iceland, Bermuda, Brunei Darussalam, Sabah and Serawak, Cyprus, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Malta, United Kingdoms, Singapore, Hong Kong, Turcos and Cocos, are permitted to enter into the rabies-free areas with the following requirements:</p>
<ol>
<li>The animals concerned shall be accompanied with an identity card (Animal Passport) and Animal Health Certificate issued by an authorized government veterinarian in the country of origin.</li>
<li>The animal should not be in pregnant condition.</li>
<li>The animal should not be in breast-fed condition.</li>
<li>The animal has been vaccinated against rabies with inactive rabies vaccine only.</li>
<li>The vaccinations should be performed at least 30 days prior to exportation and not more than 1 year.</li>
<li>The age of animal at the time of exportation should be at least 90 days.</li>
<li>The animal has been subjected to quarantine measures before exportation  in the country of origin.</li>
<li>At the place of entry in rabies-free areas in Indonesia, the animal shall be submitted to quarantine measures for at least 14 days period and the longest for 6 (six) months upon its arrival.</li>

<p>Letter of recommendation for exportation issued by Provincial Veterinary Services at place of origin.</p>
<p>Export permit issued by Directorate of Animal Health, Directorate General of Livestock Services (DGLS), Department of Agriculture.</p>
<p>CITES export permit issued by Directorate General of Nature Protection and Conservation, Department of Forestry and Plantation (especially for wildlife, such as monkeys).</p>
<p>Notify the Animal Quarantine Office 2 days before departure and submit application for quarantine inspection.</p>
<p><strong>II. Importation of Pet Animals  (Dogd, Cats, Monkeys)</strong></p>
<p>Rabies Vaccination Certificate issued by an authorized government veterinary surgeon or private veterinary practitioner in the country of origin.</p>
<p>Health Certificate issued by Animal Quarantine Office at the place of departure or an authorized government veterinary surgeon.</p>
<p>Letter of recommendation for importation issued by Provincial Veterinary Services at place of destination.</p>
<p>Import permit issued by Directorate of Animal Health, Directorate General of Livestock Services.</p>
<p>CITES export permit issued by CITES authority in the country of origin (especially for wildlife, such as monkeys).</p>
<p>Notify the Animal Quarantine Office 2 days before departure and submit application for quarantine inspection.</p>
<p><strong>III. Domestic Exit Consignment of Pet Animals  (Dogd, Cats, Monkeys)</strong><strong></strong></p>

<p><strong>V. Domestic Exit Consignment of  Birds, Poultries, and </strong><strong>Reptiles</strong></p>
<p>Letter of recommendation for exportation issued by the Veterinary Service at province/district of origin.</p>
<p>Permit for transportation of wildlife issued by the  Natural Resource Conservation office at place of origin.</p>

<p><strong>VIII. Importation of Day-old Chick (DOC) and Day-old Duck (DOD)</strong></p>
<p>Health Certificate issued by an authorized government veterinary surgeon/ the Animal Quarantine Office at place of departure.</p>
<p>Import Permit issued by the Directorate General of Livestock Services.</p>
<p>Certificate of Origin issued by authorized government institution in the country of origin (Form A and Form B).</p>
<p>A copy of the letter of Approval for temporary quarantine facility issued by the Director  of the Center for Agricultural Quarantine.</p>
<p>Notify the Animal Quarantine Office 2 days before arrival.</p>
<p><strong>IX. Exportation </strong><strong></strong><strong> o</strong>f Day-old Chick (DOC) and Day-old Duck (DOD)</p>
