Promosikan Garuda Indonesia ke Siprus dan Malta

Garuda Indonesia membuka diri untuk kerjasama dengan maskapai penerbangan lain dalam bentuk code-sharing dan memberi kesempatan biro perjalanan di Malta dan Siprus untuk kerjasama promosi dan pemasaran. Penambahan armada pesawat terbaru dari Airbus dan Boeing itu dimaksudkan untuk mendukung perluasan rute penerbangan internasional Garuda Indonesia.

President Yudhoyono to inaugurate Palapa Ring project

The Palapa Ring fiber-optic network project will be start with the construction of the 1,041 km Mataram-Kupang fiber optic line. The construction of the Palapa Ring network in the southern part of Eastern Indonesia is fully funded by state telecommunications company PT Telkom with a segment with a land surface optic fiber cable, scheduled for completion in November 2010. Palapa Ring Project is a Government initiated fiber optic backbone development, consisting of 35,280 kilometers of undersea optic fiber line, and 21,708 kilometers of optical fiber underground line.

Nine contracts consisting of four oil and gas, and five coal bed methane (CBM). Oil blocks contracts that would be signed are Blok Sula I, Blora Block, North Makassar Strait Block and Langgak Block. While the CBM contracts included Block Barito, Muara Enim Block and Batang Asin Block.

Pertamina may list some of its units — shares in insurance unit PT Tugu Pratama Indonesia, drilling unit PT Pertamina Drilling Services, geothermal unit PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy and energy exploration unit PT Pertamina Hulu Energi — on the Indonesian Stock Exchange next year ahead of plans to launch its own initial public offering (IPO).

ADB earmarks $500 million for RI`s mega power program

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has earmarked US$500 million in loans to speed up the second phase of Indonesia`s program to build power plants with a combined capacity of 10,000 megawatts. The second phase of the 10,000-megawatt power development program called for the construction of steam power plants with a capacity of 4,294 MW, thermal power plants with a capacity of 1,626 MW, geothermal power plants with a capacity of 3,583 MW and hydro power plants with a capacity of 1,174 MW.
